The School's Facilities and Organisation

The Nursery/Infant School

The Nursery and Infant School accommodates children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1.
Two nursery classes, Reception and Year 1 are accommodated in the Anthonie van Dijckstraat, a third nursery class is located in the Albrecht Durerstraat, just 30 metres from the main building.
The school houses teaching classrooms, a Dutch classroom, an English classroom, an information communication technology lab, a school hall/gymnasium, a library and a secure playground. 


The Lower Junior School

The Lower Junior School is situated in the Jan van Eijckstraat, very close to the Nursery/Infant School. It accommodates children between the ages of 6--8. The maximum class size is 24 children. The Lower Junior School is a purpose built school and consists of teaching classrooms, an information communication technology suite, a modern foreign languages classroom, a fiction and non fiction library, a hall/gymnasium and a secure playground. Children follow the subjects in the National Curriculum. Literacy and Numeracy are given a high profile and a balanced subject timetable ensures the coverage of all other subjects.  As in all areas of the School, the curriculum is enriched with opportunities for investigative learning, educational visits, role play, swimming, music assemblies, productions and extra curricular activities. French is introduced at Year 3.

The Upper Junior School

The Upper Junior School for children between the ages of 8 - 11, is a secure environment where children learn to work in an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect. The school is situated in the Fred. Roeskestraat, 1.5 kilometres from the Nursery/Infant and Lower Junior School. A shuttle bus runs from the Nursery/Infant School each morning. The maximum class size is 24 children. The Upper Junior School is a newly built department and consists of teaching classrooms, an  information communication technology suite, two modern foreign languages classroom, a music room a fiction and non fiction library, a hall/gymnasium, an extensive secure playground, a sports and playing field and a school kitchen.. A well balanced timetable ensures the delivery of all subjects over a weekly period. Literacy and Numeracy are recognised as core subjects and  taught daily, Science and ICT are also allocated a high subject weighting.  Swimming continues in the Upper Junior School and children attend an annual residential trip. Children enjoy an extensive extra curricular activity programme.

The Secondary School

The Secondary School accommodates students aged 11- 18. The school is situated in the Fred. Roeskestraat sharing a campus with the Upper Junior School.  The maximum form size is 20 students. The Secondary School is a purpose built school offering specialist teaching facilities. It consists of teaching classrooms, 3 information communication technology suites, 3 science laboratories, a modern foreign language lab, a music / music technology suite, an art/design technology studio, a library, a gymnasium, a sports and playing field and a school kitchen. Organisation, pride, respect and learning are key ideas amongst our Secondary School community. Our size is our strength as it means we can offer personalised learning in small groups to our  international students from 36 nationalities. Opportunities for leadership, a varied sports programme, a wide range of extra curricular clubs and European field trips are  opportunities that enrich all our students' lives. Our specialist teachers offer a world renowned examination system which has enabled our graduates to be offered places with top universities.
